Many people have a fascination with Tamil movies as it is considered as one of the most popular film industries in India. In Manaivi Oru Manickam, a story of an ordinary man who had been divorced from his wife for more than 20 years and looking back on the years he spent with her, this movie creates a great impact on the viewers. The concept and the screenplay is commendable and I would like to recommend this movie to anyone who wants to spend their weekend in a trance. Some movies are made with the aim of showing people that last night’s incident may not be the same as today’s situation. Through this movie, viewers can definitely learn the fact that one should avoid behaving irresponsibly in order to make their relationship last longer. Having said that, I would like to put across an episode which happened to me few years ago.I used to attend a business meeting every day, and on one particular occasion, after the meeting ends at 5 PM I was getting impatient because I had to catch a train at 6 PM. At that time, my friend who was sitting next to me reminded me about something very important that I had forgotten. During the meeting, my friend from past few years was sitting in front of me, who was more like my family member, but I never had the opportunity to even talk to him.When I was trying to recall something on my mind at that time I found it difficult to concentrate on anything. So I asked him “Are you alright?”. He said “No” since he knows me since many years and understands the fact that when I don’t respond it means something is not fine with me. So he asked me concernedly “Is everything OK with you?”. I felt bad and said “Yes, I’m fine”.The next moment I realized something was wrong and I asked him “Why do you know everything about me?”. He told me that he has been worried about me since long but never had the opportunity to show his concern. Since many years, no one has given him any importance; everyone thinks he is a very sad person and who does not want to talk to him. It turned out that after the meeting ended, he went home and tried to communicate with his wife but failed as she didn’t feel like communicating with him even if they continue talking for an hour. Then he went to his son’s place and talked to his son but even then realized that there is no need of talking to him since he is just a burden on his father. After that, he decided to take a stroll in the park where many people were enjoying the sunset. After a long stroll, he went back home and decided to go for a swim in the rain water tub where all kinds of birds were singing till twilight. Then it started raining heavily, which made him get wet through every part of his body. As usual, he took a bath and started drying himself using all kinds of towels during this time, but couldn’t get rid of the feeling that something was not right about this situation.
